I just got back from Las Vegas after attending the CEREC Scientific Symposium. NO, I did not gamble, but YES, I did win! I got to see the latest developments from Sirona in software design for both the CEREC system and their 3D digital scanning products. I currently use the Omni Cam scanner fro CEREC restorations and Galileos Comfort Plus scanner for diagnostic imaging. I learned a lot more about how the two systems work together to create the best possible implant planning and safe implant placement . We also saw the latest materials currently available, and those on the horizon, for making all ceramic, single appointment, aesthetic, and highly durable crowns. The presentations by the clinicians were top notch. When I look at where dentistry was when I first started practicing and where the science and art is now, I am truly amazed. The advancements are occurring very rapidly and make practicing dentistry today exciting and challenging.
